What are the COVID19 protocols?Your practitioner and all clients will be screened for signs, symptoms, and risk of COVID-19 the day before your treatment and once again upon arrival for your treatment. Hand sanitizing or hand washing are mandatory upon arrival. Your practitioner and all clients are required to wear masks while indoors.

What is massage therapy?Use of the title “massage therapist” or “registered massage therapist” is for Health Care Professionals who have registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO). Massage therapy treatment has a therapeutic effect on the body and optimizes health and well-being by acting on the muscular, nervous and circulatory systems.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?Please give 24 hours notice for cancellation or rescheduling to avoid being charged for your appointment. That way we have an adequate amount of time to offer the appointment time to someone who may be in need.

What can I expect on my first visit?Please arrive 5 minutes early to complete a confidential health history form on your very first visit. This will inform your Massage Therapist about any health concerns, past or present. You will have a conversation to discuss these details and communicate your needs which will help to ensure that the treatment is safe and effective for you. Your treatment time will include your health history discussion, assessment and massage.

Do I get a receipt?All treatments provided by ‘En Route to Recovery’ are with a professional registered massage therapist and you will receive a receipt that will be accepted by your extended health benefits plan for reimbursement. Some carriers require a Physician to prescribe the patient to see an RMT.
